The concert, sponsored by The Alkis Keramidas Museum of Art, will feature Oboist Roger Roe and pianist Kent Cook who will join violist Michael Strauss in a benefit performance for the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy. The trio will perform the lyrical and Romantic Rhapsodies by Charles Loeffler. The melancholy Lachrymae by Benjamin Britten and the passionate and powerful Sonata by Rebecca Clark, both for viola and piano, balance the program.
Michael Strauss is on the faculty of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Roger Roe is a member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and teaches at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Kent Cook is on the faculty of Illinois Wesleyan University.
